Czech Violins

Deep in the Czech countryside, some 3 hours from Prague, in the small village of Luby, a thriving Czech Violin making 'industry' existed for the past 150 years.
My visits to Luby have given me the opportunity to meet such exemplary violin makers like the Holpuch family of makers, the Dvorak family of makers, the Ernat family of makers, as well as talented young makers like Karel Poplstein and Jan Fronk.
All have impressed me with their personal expression and outstanding quality of workmanship.
